SPRING PROGRAM 2012
Rockit gives young musicians an opportunity to play Rock & Roll with their peers, bringing them together to perform live as a band. Registration is open to guitarists, drummers, vocalists, bassists, keyboardists, brass and string players. Space is limited.
• Ages 8–18, studying guitar, drums, bass, vocals, piano
• All students must be currently studying with a private instructor.
• All students must audition.
• All students must perform in the end-of-semester concert.
Auditions: Saturday, March 31 (10-8pm, assigned times).
Audition Fee: $10
Audition are scheduled one week prior to date.
Second or third instrument? Bring it on your audition day.
Program Fee: $335 (plus registration fee)
Orientation Class: Saturday, April 28 at 3pm (for accepted students)
Rehearsals: 90-minute band classes for six weeks with specialized instructors. (See application for details).
Concert: Sunday, June 24 at 3pm, Count Basie Theatre

Why Rockit?
Rockit is the premiere rock'n'roll experience for young musicians ages 8 to 16. Students learn a variety of classics from the rock canon in a group environment then perform live on the ultimate concert stage.
