Bruce Gallipani – Founder and Director
Rock and Roll culture has dictated that its initiates should flock to the basements and garages to imitate the gods of rock and cut their teeth on three chords and a dream. Brooklyn musician Bruce Gallipani believes in rock and roll, that it offers a whole lot of positive reinforcement and social well-being for today’s youth. He’s pounding out the message with every concert, sharing his experience and vision, while giving kids a taste of performing live on the big stage together.
Zac Silva – Guitar Instructor
Silva holds a B.S. in Music from Berklee College of Music with a dual major in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing & Production. He is a guitarist, arranger, writer, and teaches guitar, piano, and bass. Zac’s current band is called The Shady Street Show.
Dan Ricker – Instructor
Dan attended Brown University as a Modern Culture and Media concentrator, with a specialization in theater. He has been playing music for fifteen years and playing/writing in bands for eleven. Dan is a trained actor working towards preparing students for live performance.
Andy Greatorex – Instructor
Andy Greatorex was born and raised in Sydney, Australia where he began playing piano at age 6. Upon moving to New Jersey, he played in the high school marching band, concert band, and jazz band. Andy studied music at the University of North Texas where he received degrees in Jazz Performance and Music Theory. After graduating, Andy toured across the states opening for bands such as Train, Collective Soul, and Johnny Winter. He currently teaches bass and plays with three bands. He also plays guitar and has his own live sound company and recording studio.
Corey Markowitz – Vocal Instructor
Corey Andrew Markowitz has been performing professionally across the United States for the last decade. As a graduate of the NYFA: Musical Theatre Conservatory, he has studied voice and acting under numerous Broadway Veterans including Kristy Cates, VP Boyle, and Deidre Goodwin. He is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who continues to play over 150 shows a year with his tribute band, Nine Deeez Nite. With several Off-Broadway and NYC credits also on his resume, he shares his invaluable versatility with all of his students.
Dan Puma – Guitar Tech
New Jersey native Dan Puma is a Rockit alumnus and is now responsible for the maintenance and tuning of all guitars at showtime.
